I picked this up craving some sweet romance to feed my delulu and this book delivered (kind of). REBOUND BY AMINAT SANNI-KAMAL: When Eriife, frustrated with her work and love life, makes an impulsive decision to live in her wicked female boss’s shoes (literally) for one night, she’s not expecting to meet her boss’s handsome ex (?) or end up having a one night stand with him, and she’s definitely not expecting the feelings that come up after that night. Fast forward to 6 months later and Jaiyeola is determined not to let Eriife slip through his fingers again. He might have lost her once, after that one night stand, but he’s prepared to do everything to keep her by his side now. I’ll start by saying that there were a lot of swoonworthy scenes in the book. The MMC, Jaiyeola, was the perfect book boyfriend! Rich, Kind, Generous, Caring… Did I mention rich?? Lol. I couldn’t really connect with Eriife, the FMC, she felt a bit too “all over the place” for me, but again, that’s just me. I really enjoyed reading this book though. It had the right amount of spice, romance, suspense and twists. Although I feel like some parts dragged and then at some other parts, it felt like the author just started twists and turns that didn’t gel with the storyline, a lot of themes were written and abandoned halfway (the author now started explaining why in the note after the ending). I didn’t like that. The ending also felt incomplete, but I guess it sets the stage for the next book in the series (I had no idea it was even going to be a series). Overall though, it was an okay read. Like I stated earlier, the romance part definitely fed my delulu. So do I recommend this?
