It’s important to know that the safety of an infant mattress lies in its firmness, not it's 'breathability'. If using this hack, you’ll want to ensure that your fitted sheets and protector are snug, but not so snug that the mattress is misshapen or warped. But if this hack (or any advice at all!) doesn’t sit well with your mama gut, don’t do it! And if you have concerns, always consult your pediatrician and lean into what you feel is best for YOUR baby! ♥️
