Looking for a dog-friendly walk in Sterling, Virginia? Lincoln and I explored Claude Moore Park, and overall, we had a really nice morning here. 🐾 Claude Moore Park is a great option if you’re looking for wooded walking trails, plenty of space to explore, and a peaceful place to get outside with your dog in Northern Virginia. Lincoln had no shortage of things to sniff, and once we found our way onto the blue trail, we really enjoyed the walk. But there was one thing that kept this from being one of our favorite trail experiences: the trail markings. We had a surprisingly hard time figuring out which trail we were actually on, and the blue trail was the first route where I felt like we were consistently seeing markers and knew where we were going. That doesn’t mean we wouldn’t come back — we absolutely would. But if you’re visiting Claude Moore Park for the first time, I’d recommend looking at the trail map ahead of time and having a general idea of the route you want to take before you start walking. Lincoln’s official rating: 🐾 3.4 out of 5 paws A peaceful, enjoyable dog-friendly walk with plenty to explore — I’d just love to see clearer trail markings. If you’ve walked the trails at Claude Moore Park before, which route should Lincoln and I try next? And if you know another dog-friendly park, trail, restaurant, event, or activity in Northern Virginia that Lincoln needs to check out, drop it in the comments👇 #giantschnauzer #LoudounCounty #workingdog #NorthernVirginia #novafoodie
