42 pounds down since July 2025, and my nutrition was never about eating as little as possible or cutting out the foods I love. These were my three nutrition non-negotiables: 1️⃣ Protein at every meal Instead of getting to dinner and realizing I had barely eaten any protein, I chose my protein source first and built the rest of my meal around it. 2️⃣ Carbs, fats and fiber too Protein isn’t the entire meal. I focused on balanced meals that gave me energy and kept me satisfied. A simple formula: Protein + carb + fruit or vegetable + a fat or sauce I enjoy. It didn’t have to be complicated, homemade or different every day to nourish my body. 3️⃣ Nourishing foods AND foods I enjoy I didn’t follow an 80/20 rule or label foods as “good” or “bad.” I prioritized foods that supported my goals while still enjoying pizza, dessert and meals out. Afterward, I returned to my normal meals. No restriction. No punishment workout. No starting over. My nutrition wasn’t perfect. It was balanced, flexible and repeatable. If you want the structured dumbbell workouts I followed, you can find new 30 and 60-minute weekly workouts inside the Movement With Julie app. For more realistic nutrition guidance, search ‘Embrace Your Real’ wherever you listen to podcasts and start with: 🎧 Episode 681: 5 Hills I Will Die On (Nutrition Edition) 🎧 Episode 680: The Most Basic Nutrition Mistake Most Women Are Making 🎧 Episode 546: How to Count Macros Without Obsessing Over Numbers Hope this helps 🫡🫶🏼 #workoutroutine #homeworkouts #nutrition #nutritiontips
