These small adjustments changed the the whole ball game when it came to my Labradors recall or lack of . A good quality longline ... Enables you to give them freedom without losing control . never let them get further away from you than the end of the line and use to stop them when they aren't listening . Playing enrichment games keeps them engaged with you , making you the most interesting thing in their environment. ( there are lots in my play list ) Changing direction often meant that my Labrador constantly had to keep a eye on me incase I "got myself lost" 😂 Start Neutrality training as soon as you can and don't let them play with other dogs until your recall is on point. Finally chose a recall word different to their name , this could even be a whistle and don't overdo use it as they will learn to ignore it . and only good things happen when they are recalled never just put them straight on a lead without rewarding the recall first .
